The difference between Channels and Campaigns lies in their purpose and functionality.
Channels
- Purpose: Channels are broader organizational tools within Nibbitt, designed to group links, campaigns, and other resources into a cohesive category. Think of Channels as the “umbrella” under which related content is housed.
- Functionality:
- A higher-level structure for organizing multiple campaigns or standalone links.
- Ideal for managing multiple projects, promotions or themes.
- Can include a mix of Campaigns, standalone links, or other related assets.
- Example Use Case: If you’re managing a marketing strategy for multiple products, you might create separate Channels for each product line. Each Channel could contain specific Campaigns and links related to that product.
Campaigns
- Purpose: Campaigns are a more focused feature designed to group specific links for sharing and tracking. They act as a way to bundle links together for a specific purpose, like a promotion or event.
- Functionality:
- Create a unique shareable link that grants access to all links in the Campaign.
- Tracks aggregated statistics for all links within the group.
- Can act as a Link Rotator, sending users to a random link from the group.
- Example Use Case: If you’re running a promotional event, you might create a Campaign containing links to the event registration, promotional materials, and a feedback form. The Campaign can be shared via a single link.
